SEND Learning Support Assistant
Commencing 3rd September 2025
Level 4, ranging from points 6 to 7 (£17,036.52 - £17,307.80) per annum
(April 2025 pay award pending)
30 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 3.00pm, term time only. Are you an excellent and experienced Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs?
We are seeking an enthusiastic, empathetic, and positive individual with experience in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The ideal candidate will be confident in meeting a range of individual needs and committed to providing high-quality support that enables every child to thrive.
The successful applicant will be highly motivated, proactive, and an effective team player with strong communication skills. A genuine commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice is essential. Experience working with children with complex learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), would be highly advantageous.
Job Duties:
Assist with the implementation of individualised support plans (ISPs)
Support the child in accessing the curriculum and classroom activities
Help the child develop social and communication skills
Support personal care needs
Monitor and record the child’s progress and behaviour
Collaborate with teachers, parents and other professionals to ensure the child’s needs are met
GCSE qualification in Maths and English or equivalent is essential.
