Waste Week
The Eco Warriors are working with their class to achieve the Eco Schools Green Flag Award. We have been working as a school to complete eco projects to make our school more environmentally aware. During Waste Week, the Eco Warrior team completed a 'bin check’ in all of the classrooms. The good news we found is that every class has a general waste bin, a paper recycling bin and a lidded bin for their tissues. At play time the whole school Green Team has been doing a great job of making sure the food waste from their snack time fruit goes into our new smiley face bins on the playground.
In our REACH Assembly for Waste Week, the children learned about the ‘Three Rs - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle’. One of the ways we put this into action is to bring a reusable water bottle to school every day! Well done Chalkwell Green Team.
