Computing is an integral part of our curriculum in order to prepare our learners of today for tomorrow’s world. We use the Purple Mash scheme which allows us to teach computing skills with consistency and progression. We have a focus on practising basic IT skills in order for children to become confident users of ever changing technology. E-safety is weaved throughout our curriculum so that children develop into responsible digital citizens and are aware of the potential risks. We recognise Safer Internet Day each year and use our Acceptable Use for Pupils poster to support this whenever ICT is used. Children have access to a range of computing equipment including laptops, iPads and control technology.
Computing Club, with different opportunities to play games and activities, is offered during lunchtimes and open to all children.
