In 2007 I began my time at Chalkwell as a Deputy Headteacher. In 2016 I started my journey as Headteacher and I LOVE it! It's a fabulous school, filled with wonderful children, supportive families and a talented and enthusiastic staff team. What I enjoy most is getting into the classroom and learning with the children.
Ms J. Milbank
Designated Safeguarding Lead
I joined Chalkwell last year as the Deputy Headteacher and have absolutely fallen in love with the school. I am so proud of the way we nurture and develop all of the children here. I am the Designated Safeguarding Lead and am responsible for the curriculum. I have a real passion for education and in giving every child the best possible opportunities to succeed. I also have a real interest in the arts in education. Outside of school, my two sons keep me busy and I do a lot of decorating and crafty things including knitting and my new passion – macramé!!

Assistant Headteacher and Class Teacher
It has been my pleasure to have worked at Chalkwell since 2014. I am proud to work at our school because we have a wonderful, supportive community who all aspire to make our school a brilliant place. I am blessed to work with such a committed and passionate team. I thoroughly enjoy my role as I have the opportunity to spend my time working with children in class but also have responsibility for whole school development, particularly English. Outside of school, I enjoy countryside walks with my family and reading.

I have worked in the school office since 2011. I love working at Chalkwell Infants and enjoy working in a friendly, busy office. Outside of school I enjoy spending quality time with my family and visiting historical places of interest.

My name is Mrs. Woolf and I have been a teacher at Chalkwell Infants since 2014. Currently, I am teaching in the brand new nurture group called ‘The Tree House’. We are a caring class who love learning and having fun! My favourite things to do in school are reading stories, going swimming and watching the children be happy and confident learners. Outside of school I like to spend lots of time with my family friends doing fun activities such as walking and going to the cinema.

Hi, I’m Mrs Dalgarno. I work with the children, teachers and LSAs in reception. I have always loved working with reception children and seeing the fantastic progress they make in their first year at school. It is important to me to help children develop a love of learning at this early stage in their education. I also love outdoor learning as I feel it really brings learning to life! Outside of school I like cooking and taking my dogs George and Syd for long walks.
Mrs H. Wilkinson
Class Teacher & Key Stage 1 Leader
Hello, my name is Mrs Wilkinson. I have been teaching for 16 years now, this is my 7th year at Chalkwell. I am a class teacher as well as Key Stage One Leader. I love having the opportunity to get to know so many of our children. I teach in Class India for 2.5 days and the other 2.5 days I am part of the senior leadership team, where we continue to work on school improvement. I love being at Chalkwell and being part of such a friendly and happy community where the children are so eager to learn. Outside of school I enjoy travelling and holidays, spending time with my family and friends, and being kept busy with my two gorgeous dogs, Poppy and Luna!

I'm Mrs Darby and I work in the office as the Finance Manager. I joined the school in 2013 and have thoroughly enjoyed working in the friendly office team. I enjoy running and going to the theatre, but mostly spending time with my family.

Admissions and Attendance Officer
I am Mrs Cooper and I joined our busy office in September 2016. My three sons came to Chalkwell and all were very happy here. In my spare time I like to keep fit and enjoy pilates. I am also a big fan of Southend United. COYB!
Mrs E. Howe
I am Mrs Howe and I started working at Chalkwell Infants in September 2016. I am part of the friendly and busy office team, where no two days are the same! When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and getting engrossed in a really good book!
Mr D. Horne
I’m Mr Horne and started as the school’s ICT Technician in September 2010. Since my first day I have felt very lucky to be working in a place with such friendly staff and children. In my spare time I attempt to play the guitar, the drums, the ukulele and learn Spanish – all with low levels of success but I do enjoy trying!
Mrs T. Dove
My name is Mrs Dove and this will be my 3rd year teaching at Chalkwell Infants, I love working here and being part of such a wonderfully talented and supportive team. I am currently teaching in reception but have taught in year 2 so have a broad understanding of the children’s learning journey throughout their time in the infants.
I love building relationships with children, supporting and encouraging them to develop a love of learning.
Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my daughter, husband and our cocker spaniel, Diesel. We love walks in the woods and on the beach, especially if we get to have an ice-cream!
Mrs H. Corrigan
My name is Mrs Corrigan and I have been a teacher at Chalkwell Infants since 2009. Currently, I am teaching in reception but I have taught in year 1 so have an excellent understanding of the learning journey the children will take through reception and beyond. This enables them to develop into happy and confident learners. I enjoy supporting the children with new challenges, helping them to persevere and seeing the pride on their faces when they achieve.
My favourite things to do in school are building relationships with the children, running the choir, reading stories and listening to stories the children have written at home.
Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family, growing my own food on our allotment and making jam and chutney with the fruits I have grown.

I’m Mrs Gopee and I love working at Chalkwell Hall Infant School. I am in Year 1 and love watching how much progress the children make in their first few years at school, not only in their academic achievements but also how they blossom into confident, respectful and caring individuals. Outside of school, I enjoy the theatre, bowling, playing games and eating out with my friends and my family.
Miss L. Webb
I’m Miss Webb and this will be my first year at Chalkwell. I am very excited to be joining such a lovely school, and working in a profession that I love. Outside of school I enjoy baking cakes, reading and taking my two dogs Bo and George to the park.

I have worked at Chalkwell Hall Infants since 2007 and have been lucky enough to teach in all 3 year groups. I love seeing how the children develop and grow at Chalkwell and I enjoy being part of that journey with them. When I am not at work I like to spend time with my family, going on days out, relaxing and decorating our house and garden.

I'm Mrs Giles and I am currently teaching year 2. I have taught at Chalkwell for four years. I love to see the children's enthusiasm towards their learning and enjoy encouraging the children to persevere to do their best! My favourite subject to teach is maths because it is great to see the children's excitement when they understand a new method or concept! Outside of school I enjoy listening to music, going to concerts and spending time with my family and friends.

I’m Miss D’Auria and this is my second year teaching at Chalkwell. Currently, I am teaching in Year 2 and I’m excited to be part of such a lovely, supportive school. I am very passionate about education; there is little more rewarding than encouraging and supporting children’s development. Outside of school I enjoy keeping fit, reading and spending quality time with family and friends.

I’m Miss Stevens and I am a year two teacher here in Class Mexico. I love working at Chalkwell Infants and am proud of our inclusive and supportive community. I am passionate about teaching; nothing makes me happier than seeing a child shine and grow in confidence. I particularly enjoy teaching English as I am an avid reader and love to share my love of books with others. In my spare time, I also enjoy watching films and eating at new and exciting restaurants.
Miss F. Whitmarsh
I am Miss Whitmarsh and I teach in Year 2. I am now in my sixth year at Chalkwell and really enjoy being part of such a wonderful school. I am the Mathematics Lead and am part of the Creative Arts Team. I love teaching Maths, Art and Phonics. Outside of school, I am usually found sight-seeing, drawing or having a walk down the beach.

I am Mrs Lang and I have taught at Chalkwell for 19 years. During that time I am pleased to have helped many children to achieve well. I really love seeing them grow and become ready for the next stage in their education. Currently I support in many classes and work individually with lots of pupils to help them to progress well. I also mentor all the NQTs, students and volunteers in school. Outside of school I am a Girls' Brigade leader and like to spend time with my family on walks and visits to historical places.

I have a long association with the school as both my children attended. They enjoyed their time here just as much as I do now. I have 15 years experience of working in the Early Years and am constantly inspired by children’s enthusiasm and energy as they make new discoveries. In my spare time I enjoy long walks and short runs!
Mrs H. Matthews
I started at Chalkwell as a parent helper when my own children attended the school and joined the staff in 2011. I really enjoy my role as I have the opportunity of working with children from most classes in all year groups. Outside of work I enjoy being with my family, playing tennis and walking my lovely dog Carlo.
Mrs H. Morley
I started working at Chalkwell in 2012 and really love my role. As well as working within the classroom I also teach swimming to years 1 and 2, which I thoroughly enjoy. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with family and friends, together with taking my dog Dennis on long walks.
Mrs S. Bygrave
I’m Mrs Bygrave and I was lucky enough to join the lovely family that is Chalkwell Infants, as an HLTA, in 2018. I have previous experience locally in the same role, in both KS1, KS2 and as an Early Years Practitioner. I love the opportunity of getting to know all of the children in the year group and watching them flourish.
Outside of school I enjoy music, sport and walking, filling the rest of my time keeping a close eye my two teenagers and my dog Frankie!

I am proud to be part of the great team at Chalkwell Hall Infants. I have worked here for fifteen years.
As my role as Family Liaison Officer I enjoy supporting and working closely alongside children and families who may be experiencing all sorts of difficulties, due to the ups and downs of everyday life. I also work with many of the outside agencies that support our children and families.
I get great pleasure and job satisfaction when we are able to help and support our children and families through difficult times.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with the family. I like nature, wildlife and walking the dog also canoeing but only when the sun shines!

Mrs D. Dorne
I began working at Chalkwell Hall Infant school in 2004 when my youngest of four children began in the Junior school.
I have worked in schools, nursery school settings and community centres for numerous years alongside being a registered childminder and a foster care provider.
Along with English Literature, sociology, drama and child psychology A levels I have two level 3's in child care and education and classroom assistant and have completed the level 3/4 Learning Mentor training.

My name is Mrs Cracknell. I have worked at Chalkwell Infants for nearly 14 years. I have two sons 27 and 25 years old and I live in Chalkwell. I love gardening, reading and going for long walks.

I have been working as an LSA at Chalkwell Hall Infants since 2016. I am a qualified sports coach and I run a number of clubs before and after school. In my spare time I enjoy coaching several junior and adult netball teams. I love playing netball, going to the gym, running and spending time with my family.

I have been working at Chalkwell Hall Infants as an LSA since 2018 following several years being involved as a parent helper and with the PTA. I was fortunate to be able to qualify as an LSA whilst volunteering at Chalkwell. I am passionate about the early years curriculum and love watching the new intake develop in their first year in ‘big school’.
Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, going to Belfairs Wood and watching movies.
