Clean Air Plants
This week (17/04/24) a new plant has been introduced to your classroom to help clean (purify) the air around us. Did you know that ‘A well-known process carried out by plants is photosynthesis in which plants clean the air through taking in carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen’? Each eco-warrior understands how to look after the plant and will ensure it is watered and kept healthy. Introducing plants to our school environment is part of our ongoing Clean Air Project with Southend City Council.
