Chalkwell Hall

Infant School

Key Stage 1

KS1 home learning

1st June

Dear Parents/Carers,

We hope you are all keeping as safe as possible.

We have changed the schedule of home learning to reflect the changes in staffing both in school and at home. These lessons will be delivered to all children in school to ensure consistency in teaching and learning, as well as accessible for all those children staying at home. As always, we will keep you updated with any extra information and support we can give.

We hope you will still find our learning videos useful. Thank you for all your support and positive comments about what we have been providing.

As always, please note that nothing is compulsory (although we’d love it if you could still read daily with your child) and you can dip into as little or as much as you like. We wouldn’t recommend any more than 2 hours of focussed learning per day.

Don't forget there are also assemblies, whole school challenges and lots of different things to do, back on the main 'Home Learning' page.

Facebook will be our main platform for teaching, providing a variety of videos and links. Please see the schedule below:

Please see below a list of free websites that children can access for further home learning and a suggested timetable to help plan your days, if you wish.

Please note, these ideas do not replace the valuable time that you can spend as a family during this time, creating your own memories and spending, where possible, time outdoors.
