In 2007 I began my time at Chalkwell as a Deputy Headteacher. In 2016 I started my journey as Headteacher and I LOVE it! It's a fabulous school, filled with wonderful children, supportive families and a talented and enthusiastic staff team. What I enjoy most is getting into the classroom and learning with the children.

I just love our school. I am so proud of the way we nurture and develop all of the children here. I am the Designated Safeguarding Lead and am responsible for the curriculum. I have a real passion for education and in giving every child the best possible opportunities to succeed, and here at Chalkwell Hall Infant School we really do reach for the stars! I also have a real interest in how children learn and in the arts in education. Outside of school, my two sons and dog keep me busy, and I do a lot of decorating and crafty things including knitting, macrame and painting.

I have worked in the school office since 2011. I love working at Chalkwell Infants and enjoy working in a friendly, busy office. Outside of school I enjoy spending quality time with my family and visiting historical places of interest.

Miss K. Stevens

Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo)

and Class Teacher

Hello, I’m Miss Stevens and I have been working here at Chalkwell Infants for seven years. I love our school and am proud of our inclusive and supportive community. I am passionate about teaching; nothing makes me happier than seeing a child shine and grow in confidence. I currently teach the nurture group, called ‘The Treehouse’ during the mornings and run interventions in the afternoon. In my spare time outside of school I enjoy watching films, reading books, listening to live music, travelling to new places and spending lots of time outdoors with family and friends. I also have a real love of food and enjoy visiting new restaurants and cooking interesting new dishes.

Mrs G. Dalgarno

FS Leader

Hi, I’m Mrs Dalgarno. I work with the children, teachers and LSAs in reception. I have always loved working with reception children and seeing the fantastic progress they make in their first year at school. It is important to me to help children develop a love of learning at this early stage in their education. I also love outdoor learning as I feel it really brings learning to life!

When I'm not in school, I love spending time with my family. I have 2 children and a dog and we all love walks in the woods or along the seafront.

Mrs D. Maynard

Class Teacher & Year 1 Leader

I joined Chalkwell Hall Infants in 2007 as a student teacher and I have been lucky enough to teach in all three year groups during my time here. I love the community and family feel that Chalkwell Infants has and love how our ethos and vision is truly embedded in all we do. It is great to be part of your children’s learning journey and it is wonderful to see your children develop and grow during their time with us. When I am not working I am mum to three children and spend the vast majority of my time running them around to their clubs and hobbies, but when I do find time for myself I like to spend it in the garden and reading.

Mrs H. Wilkinson

Year 2 Leader

Hello, my name is Mrs Wilkinson. I have been teaching for 17 years now, this is my 8th year at Chalkwell. I am a class teacher as well as Key Stage One Leader. I love having the opportunity to get to know so many of our children. I am part of the senior leadership team, where we continue to work on school improvement. I love being at Chalkwell and being part of such a friendly and happy community where the children are so eager to learn. Outside of school I enjoy travelling and holidays, spending time with my family and friends, and being kept busy with my two gorgeous dogs, Poppy and Luna!
