In 2007 I began my time at Chalkwell as a Deputy Headteacher. In 2016 I started my journey as Headteacher and I LOVE it! It's a fabulous school, filled with wonderful children, supportive families and a talented and enthusiastic staff team. What I enjoy most is getting into the classroom and learning with the children.

Since I joined Chalkwell as the Deputy Headteacher, I have absolutely fallen in love with the school. I am so proud of the way we nurture and develop all of the children here. I am the Designated Safeguarding Lead and am responsible for the curriculum. I have a real passion for education and in giving every child the best possible opportunities to succeed, and here at Chalkwell Hall Infant School we really do reach for the stars! I also have a real interest in how children learn and in the arts in education. Outside of school, my two sons and dog keep me busy, and I do a lot of decorating and crafty things including knitting and my new passion – macramé!!

My name is Mrs. Woolf and I have been a teacher at Chalkwell Infants since 2014. Currently, I am teaching in the brand new nurture group called ‘The Tree House’. We are a caring class who love learning and having fun! My favourite things to do in school are reading stories, going swimming and watching the children be happy and confident learners. Outside of school I like to spend lots of time with my family friends doing fun activities such as walking and going to the cinema.

Miss K. Stevens

Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) (Maternity Cover)

and Class Teacher

Hello, I’m Miss Stevens and I have been working here at Chalkwell Infants for six years. I love our school and am proud of our inclusive and supportive community. I am passionate about teaching; nothing makes me happier than seeing a child shine and grow in confidence. I currently teach the nurture group, called ‘The Treehouse’ during the mornings and run interventions in the afternoon. In my spare time outside of school I enjoy watching films, reading books, listening to live music, travelling to new places and spending lots of time outdoors with family and friends. I also have a real love of food and enjoy visiting new restaurants and cooking interesting new dishes.

Mrs G. Dalgarno

Class Teacher and FS Leader

(currently on Maternity Leave)

Hi, I’m Mrs Dalgarno. I work with the children, teachers and LSAs in reception. I have always loved working with reception children and seeing the fantastic progress they make in their first year at school. It is important to me to help children develop a love of learning at this early stage in their education. I also love outdoor learning as I feel it really brings learning to life! Outside of school I like cooking and taking my dogs George and Syd for long walks.

Mrs H. Corrigan

Class Teacher and FS Leader

(Maternity Cover)

My name is Mrs Corrigan and I have been a teacher at Chalkwell Infants since 2009. Currently, I am teaching in reception but I have taught in year 1 so have an excellent understanding of the learning journey the children will take through reception and beyond. This enables them to develop into happy and confident learners. I enjoy supporting the children with new challenges, helping them to persevere and seeing the pride on their faces when they achieve.

My favourite things to do in school are building relationships with the children, running the choir, reading stories and listening to stories the children have written at home.

Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family, growing my own food and making jam and chutney with the fruits I have grown.

Mrs H. Wilkinson

Class Teacher & Key Stage 1 Leader (currently on leave)

Hello, my name is Mrs Wilkinson. I have been teaching for 16 years now, this is my 7th year at Chalkwell. I am a class teacher as well as Key Stage One Leader. I love having the opportunity to get to know so many of our children. I teach in Class India for 2.5 days and the other 2.5 days I am part of the senior leadership team, where we continue to work on school improvement. I love being at Chalkwell and being part of such a friendly and happy community where the children are so eager to learn. Outside of school I enjoy travelling and holidays, spending time with my family and friends, and being kept busy with my two gorgeous dogs, Poppy and Luna!

Mrs D. Maynard

Class Teacher & Key Stage 1 Leader (Interim)

I joined Chalkwell Hall Infants in 2007 as a student teacher and I have been lucky enough to teach in all three year groups during my time here. I love the community and family feel that Chalkwell Infants has and love how our ethos and vision is truly embedded in all we do. It is great to be part of your children’s learning journey and it is wonderful to see your children develop and grow during their time with us. When I am not working I am mum to three children and spend the vast majority of my time running them around to their clubs and hobbies, but when I do find time for myself I like to spend it in the garden and reading.
