Interest, fascination and connections - We will inspire pupils with a curiosity and fascination about the world and its people and a desire to discover more by comparing and contrasting locations
Inquire and investigate - Children will interpret a range of sources to help them find out about the world
Respect and responsibility - In an ecologically changing world children will develop a sense of responsibility as part of a community, as well as a their role as a global citizen
We aim to inspire curiosity and a fascination about the world we live in. We learn about our locality through first hand experiences and fieldwork activities as well as photographs and maps. Children develop a sense of place by learning about the rest of the UK and the world. Geography teaching is enhanced by ‘Geography in the News’ sessions where children regularly explore an area that has appeared in the news.
