It is important to us that we develop our pupils’ understanding of chronology and the passing of time. We focus on a broad range of significant individuals and events from the past and explore the impact of these. Children are encouraged to use evidence and sources to find out about the past. As part of our History teaching, we take a ‘Step Back in Time’ and regularly explore a person or event from the past in order to broaden the pupils' knowledge of the world as much as possible.
