Miss F. Whitmarsh

Class Teacher

I am Miss Whitmarsh and I teach in Year 2. I am now in my tenth year at Chalkwell and really enjoy being part of such a wonderful school. I am the Eco Lead and support the Eco Warriors. We work together to make our school, local community and world more eco-friendly. I enjoy teaching reading, phonics, and history and thoroughly enjoy visiting museums. Outside of school, I am usually found sight-seeing, baking, at the theatre or concerts. I love live music and exploring new cities.

Mrs B. Bard

Class Teacher

Hello, I’m Mrs Bard and I currently teach in Class Brazil for three days a week. I worked at Chalkwell from 2004 to 2014, but couldn’t keep away so returned to work with the amazing teachers again in 2018.  I have a real passion for teaching and had my mind set on becoming a teacher from a young age after watching my Dad teach.  When I’m not teaching I like to spend time with my friends and family, play board games and take walks through the woods or along the beach.

Mr G. Farquharson

Class Teacher

I'm Mr Farquharson and I have been teaching at Chalkwell Hall Infant School since 2022.  Before becoming a teacher, I worked in the City for many years specialising in Corporate Financial Risk Management.  Since becoming a teacher, I have been especially interested in learning and understanding how to best support the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.  I also recently graduated from the University of Nottingham with a Masters in Special and Inclusive Education.  I am currently the PE & Sports Lead at Chalkwell Hall Infants and this a role I enjoy very much having been a Junior Football Coach a few years ago.  Outside of work, I support Notts County and enjoy listening to music and going to gigs.  I also have a West Highland Terrior called Bucky who keeps me active at the weekends!

Mrs H. Matthews

Higher Level Teaching Assistant

I started at Chalkwell as a parent helper when my own children attended the school and joined the staff in 2011.  I really enjoy my role as I have the opportunity of working with children from most classes in all year groups.  Outside of work I enjoy being with my family, playing tennis and walking my lovely dog Carlo.
