Reception’s visit from Munch
As part of our big question ‘Who can save the planet?’, the Eco Warriors organised a surprise visit for the reception classes.
Munch the recycling truck, Lauren and Mark visited us from Veolia today. They work with Southend City Council to recycle our waste.
Each class listened to a story of Munch and the Funny Tummy. Munch gets tummy ache when the wrong items are put in our recycling bags or cardboard bins. The children learnt what should go in the truck to keep it healthy.
They then got to meet Munch, see how he works and sit in the front seat. Many children enjoyed tooting his horn too.
