Mrs E Palmer
I have been the Headteacher at Chalkwell Hall Infants for 15 years. I thoroughly enjoy my job. I am extremely proud of all the children, staff and the school. I take huge pleasure in supporting children and adults in achieving the best they can whilst having fun and enjoying their learning.
Mrs S Clements
I have worked as Deputy Headteacher at Chalkwell Hall Infants for 8 years and have just begun my journey as Headteacher. It's a fabulous school, filled with brilliant children, supportive families and a talented and enthusiatic staff team. I dont have a class responsibility this year, but really enjoy getting into the classroom and learning with the children. My main areas of responsiblity in school are assessment, teaching and learning and parent communication.

I am in my third year of working at Chalkwell Hall Infants and have loved every minute! I am proud to work at our school because we have a wonderful, supportive community who all aspire to make our school a brilliant place. I thoroughly enjoy my role as I have the opportunity to develop the school primarily in the areas of teaching and learning, assessment for learning and the curriculum as well as still teaching for some of my time. Outside of school, I enjoy countryside walks and reading.

I am really looking forward to my seventh year at Chalkwell Hall Infants and especially the challenge of my slightly changed role this year! My responsibilities will still include Designated Lead for Safeguarding and Inclusion Leader for the school.
I enjoy working with parents, children, school staff and outside agencies to make sure that each pupil is given every opportunity to reach their potential/personal goals.
I feel privileged to work at Chalkwell and enjoy helping the children to make music.

I have worked in the school office since 2011. I love working at Chalkwell Infants and enjoy working in a friendly, busy office. Outside of school I enjoy spending quality time with my family and visiting historical places of interest.

I'm Mrs Darby and I work in the office as the Finance Manager. I joined the school in 2013 and have thoroughly enjoyed working in the friendly office team. I enjoy running and going to the theatre, but mostly spending time with my family.

I am Mrs Cooper and I joined our busy office in September 2016. In my spare time I like to keep fit and enjoy pilates. I am also a big fan of Southend United. COYB!

I’m Mrs Howe and I have just started working at Chalkwell Infants. Everyone is very welcoming and I already feel part of the friendly office team. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and getting engrossed in a really good book!
Mr D. Horne
I’m Mr Horne and started as the school’s ICT Technician in September 2010. Since my first day I have felt very lucky to be working in a place with such friendly staff and children. In my spare time I attempt to play the guitar, the drums, the ukulele and learn Spanish – all with low levels of success but I do enjoy trying!

Miss G. Jacobs
Class Teacher & FS Leader
I’m Miss Jacobs and I teach class Northern Ireland but I am also the reception leader. Although I came from another school this year, I have worked at Chalkwell before. I love working with reception children and seeing the fantastic progress they make in their first year at school. It is important to me to help children develop a love of learning at this early stage in their education. I also love outdoor learning as I feel it really brings learning to life! Outside of school I like cooking and taking my dog George for long walks.
Mrs H. Corrigan
I have been teaching for over 10 years and love working at Chalkwell Hall Infant School within the Early Years team. My roles include being the Health and Wellbeing team leader, Pupil Voice leader and I jointly run our choir club. Through these roles I am very lucky to be able to continue to work with the children in Key Stage one. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family, growing my own food on our allotment and making jam and chutney with the fruits I have grown.
Miss L Thompson
I’m Miss Thompson and I teach class England. Reception is my favourite year group to teach as I enjoy seeing how much children progress in their first year of school. I like to create a classroom environment where children can grow and develop at this early stage of their lifelong learning journey. Outside of school, I enjoy walking my dog Ralph, reading, travelling, skiing, yoga and pilates.
Miss K Palfrey
I’m Miss Palfrey and I have joined Chalkwell Hall Infant School this year. I am very excited to be part of such a fantastic school and team in Early Years. This will be my fifth year teaching and think it is the most wonderful and rewarding profession. I have particularly enjoyed outdoor learning and art (and the mess that comes with it). Outside of school I enjoy films, the theatre, bowling and I even enjoy a bit of knitting (although all I can manage are scarves!)

I’m Miss Bradford and I’m in my fifth year teaching at Chalkwell, I’ve always taught year 1 as I am very passionate about children having a good start to their school life under the National Curriculum. I am the year 1 leader and enjoy working with a great team of teachers. I love teaching maths as I enjoy seeing children challenge and stretch themselves

I’m Miss Whitmarsh and I teach Year 1. I have been at Chalkwell for just over a year and enjoy being part of a wonderful school. My favourite subject is Computing because I enjoy showing children how to use technology effectively in other subjects. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, baking and going to the cinema.

I’m Miss White and I am a year one teacher at Chalkwell Hall. I have worked at Chalkwell for over a year and love being part of our school! My favourite subject is literacy because I very much enjoy reading and seeing what wonderful pieces of writing my class create! I’m also passionate about outdoor learning and learning alongside nature. Out of school I enjoy going to the cinema, swimming and reading!

I’m Mrs Maynard and I’ve been working at Chalkwell Hall Infants School for almost 9 years. In that time I have worked in both Year 1 and Year 2 and have had some time out to have 3 children! I love teaching because every day is different and it’s exciting to see how children learn and progress. When I’m not working I like to go on days out with my family to theme parks, visit the cinema and eat at different restaurants.

This is my third year at Chalkwell and I love it! The children love to learn and are beautifully behaved - they are a pleasure to teach. Our community is supportive and willing to participate in our creative ideas! My responsibilities include being maths leader and bringing innovation into our curriculum, as well as being Year 2 leader. I also help to run choir which is a huge passion of mine. Outside of school my life revolves around my dogs!

I’m Mrs Giles and I am a year 2 teacher. I have taught at Chalkwell for over a year. I love to see the children’s enthusiasm towards their learning and enjoy encouraging the children to persevere to do their best! My favourite subject to teach is maths because it is great to see the children’s excitement when they understand a new method or concept! Outside of school I enjoy reading and collecting comics, drawing cartoons and spending time with my family and friends.

My name is Miss Stevens and I am a year two teacher here at Chalkwell Hall Infant School. I joined the school in September after moving from here from Brighton. I was attracted to this school because of the inclusive and supportive community Chalkwell provides and wanted to be part of this. I am passionate about teaching, and especially love providing children with hands on, engaging experiences and allowing them to lead the learning in my classroom. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a child shine and grow in confidence in their learning. I have a real love of food and films and so in my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends eating out, cooking or going to the cinema.

I'm Miss Lowrie and I have recently joined Chalkwell Infants teaching Year 2, Class Greece. I am thoroughly enjoying being part of such a fantastic school. I love experiencing children embracing learning at a young age and am passionate about being a positive role model. My favourite subjects are Maths and P.E. I enjoy participating in games with the children and teaching them the importance of teamwork. Out of school I enjoy playing tennis, running and travel.

I am Mrs Lang and I have taught at Chalkwell for 16 years. During that time I am pleased to have helped many children to achieve well. I really love seeing them grow and become ready for the next stage in their education. Currently I cover in many classes and work individually with lots of pupils to help them to progress well. I also mentor all the NQTs, students and volunteers in school. Outside of school I am a Girls' Brigade leader and like to spend time with my family on walks and visits to historical places.

I really enjoy my role as I have the opportunity of working with children from most classes in all year groups. I am in my fourth year at Chalkwell Hall Infants and I work mainly in Wizards 1 and Class France. As well as working within the classroom I also teach swimming to years 1 and 2, which I thoroughly enjoy. I am passionate about swimming, it is a pleasure to see how much the children progress and the enjoyment they have in the pool. Outside of school I continue to teach swimming and enjoy spending time with my family and friends

My name is Mrs Cracknell. I have worked at Chalkwell Infants for nearly 14 years. I have two sons 27 and 25 years old and I live in Chalkwell. I love gardening, reading and going for long walks.
Mrs W. Harsent
Hi I'm Mrs Harsent, although some of you may remember me as Miss Towell. I have been working as an LSA at Chalkwell Hall Infants since Easter 2013 and, during that time, have also helped out with Breakfast & After school Club, as well as Homework club. I enjoy helping children to find out more about our world through scientific and historical exploration. I love dragons and, outside of work, my hobbies include swimming, drawing, exploring castles and wildlife photography.

I'm Mrs Winter-Cole and I am currently an LSA in Dragons Base. I began working at Chalkwell at the same time as my son started in Reception here (2011). Before having children I was Editor for a picture book list and commuted into London every day. Now I have a seven minute walk to work! In between taking my children to all of their various clubs, I love to sew, read, walk and travel.

I am in my fourteenth year at Chalkwell Hall Infant, as an LSA. At present I am a one-to-one LSA in year two. I consider sharing the opportunity to help children achieve their best, a privilege. As sixteen other members of my family are or have been working in education, my passion to help children to learn must be in my genes! Maths is my favourite subject to teach, as you witness the ‘light bulb moment’, when the children grasp the concept, which is very rewarding! When I am not working I enjoy reading, gardening, or spending time with friends and family.

Hello my name is Mrs Elliott and I have just started at Chalkwell Infants as a LSA. I have a son at university and a daughter studying her A levels. I am a qualified sports coach and in my spare time I enjoying running several junior and adult netball clubs. I love playing netball, going to the gym and I have recently taken up running.
