In 2007 I began my time at Chalkwell as a Deputy Headteacher. In 2016 I started my journey as Headteacher and I LOVE it! It's a fabulous school, filled with wonderful children, supportive families and a talented and enthusiastic staff team. What I enjoy most is getting into the classroom and learning with the children.
Ms J. Milbank
Designated Safeguarding Lead
I am really excited to be starting as the new Deputy Headteacher at Chalkwell Hall Infant School. I have a real passion for education and in giving every child the best opportunities to succeed. I also have a real interest in the arts in education. This year I will be leading the Early Years team and developing opportunities in the wider curriculum across the school. Outside of school my two sons keep me busy and I do a lot of decorating and crafty things including knitting!
Mrs K. Randall
I am in my fourth year of working at Chalkwell Hall Infants and have loved every minute! I am proud to work at our school because we have a wonderful, supportive community who all aspire to make our school a brilliant place. I am blessed to work with such a commited and passionate team.I thoroughly enjoy my role as I have the opportunity to develop the school primarily in the areas of teaching and learning, assessment for learning and the curriculum. Outside of school, I enjoy countryside walks with my family and reading.
Mrs H. Bower
I am really looking forward to my eighth year at Chalkwell Hall Infants and the challenge of my post as Assistant Headteacher across both the Chalkwell Schools. I see this as a great opportunity to provide even greater consistency for the children of the infants when they transfer to the juniors.
I thoroughly enjoy working at the school and hold the children’s best interests at heart. Exciting times!

My name is Miss. White and I have been a teacher at Chalkwell Infants since 2014. Currently, I am teaching in the brand new nurture group called ‘The Tree House’. We are a caring class who love learning and having fun! My favourite things to do in school are reading stories, going swimming and watching the children be happy and confident learners. Outside of school I like to spend lots of time with my family friends doing fun activities such as walking and going to the cinema.
Mrs G. Dalgarno
Hi, I’m Mrs Dalgarno. I work with the children, teachers and LSAs in reception. I have always loved working with reception children and seeing the fantastic progress they make in their first year at school. It is important to me to help children develop a love of learning at this early stage in their education. I also love outdoor learning as I feel it really brings learning to life! Outside of school I like cooking and taking my dogs George and Syd for long walks.
Mrs H. Wilkinson
Class Teacher & Key Stage 1 Leader
Hello, my name is Mrs Wilkinson and this is my 6th year at Chalkwell. I am Key Stage One Leader this year so I am really excited about getting to know so many children in year 1 and year 2. I work in Class India for 2.5 days and the other 2.5 days I am part of the senior leadership team, where we continue to work on school improvement. I love being at Chalkwell and being part of such a friendly and happy community where the children are so eager to learn. Outside of school I enjoy travelling and holidays, spending time with my family and friends, and being kept busy with my two gorgeous dogs, Poppy and Luna!

I have worked in the school office since 2011. I love working at Chalkwell Infants and enjoy working in a friendly, busy office. Outside of school I enjoy spending quality time with my family and visiting historical places of interest.

I'm Mrs Darby and I work in the office as the Finance Manager. I joined the school in 2013 and have thoroughly enjoyed working in the friendly office team. I enjoy running and going to the theatre, but mostly spending time with my family.

I am Mrs Cooper and I joined our busy office in September 2016. My three sons came to Chalkwell and all were very happy here. In my spare time I like to keep fit and enjoy pilates. I am also a big fan of Southend United. COYB!
Mrs E. Howe
I am Mrs Howe and I started working at Chalkwell Infants in September 2016. I am part of the friendly and busy office team, where no two days are the same! When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and getting engrossed in a really good book!
Mr D. Horne
I’m Mr Horne and started as the school’s ICT Technician in September 2010. Since my first day I have felt very lucky to be working in a place with such friendly staff and children. In my spare time I attempt to play the guitar, the drums, the ukulele and learn Spanish – all with low levels of success but I do enjoy trying!
Mrs C. Cross
I have a long association with the school as both my children attended. They enjoyed their time here just as much as I do now. This is my first year as a class teacher and I am very excited! In my spare time I enjoy long walks and short runs!
Miss L. Webb
I’m Miss Webb and this will be my first year at Chalkwell. I am very excited to be joining such a lovely school, and working in a profession that I love. Outside of school I enjoy baking cakes, reading and taking my two dogs Bo and George to the park.

Hello, I am Mrs Crombie. I love learning with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage. I especially enjoy exploring the children’s imaginations through dance, music and storytelling. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family and Margot, our new puppy.
Mrs D. Maynard
I have been a teacher at Chalkwell Hall Infants for eleven years. I have taught in all 3 year groups and love watching and being part of how the children develop and change as they move through the school. When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my three children and husband, going on days out and eating in different restaurants.
Mrs K. Gopee
I’m Mrs Gopee and this is my third year at Chalkwell Hall Infant School. I am in Year 1 and love watching how much progress the children make in their first few years at school, not only in their academic achievements but also how they blossom into confident, respectful and caring individuals. Outside of school, I enjoy the theatre, bowling and eating out with my friends and my family. I even enjoy a bit of knitting (but so far all I have managed is a scarf)!
Mrs H. Corrigan
My name is Mrs Corrigan and I have been a teacher at Chalkwell Infants since 2009. Currently, I am teaching in year 1 but I have taught in the reception classes so have an excellent understanding of how the children develop and learn in their early years. This enables me to continue their learning journey so that they remain happy and confident learners. I enjoy supporting the children with new challenges, helping them to persevere and seeing the pride on their faces when they achieve.
My favourite things to do in school are building relationships with the children through teacher time, running the choir, reading stories and listening to stories the children have written at home.
Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family, growing my own food on our allotment and making jam and chutney with the fruits I have grown.
Mrs A. Pollitt
I'm Mrs Pollitt and this is my second year at Chalkwell Infants. Having taught Year 2 last year, I am currently teaching Year 1, Class Greece. I am thoroughly enjoying being part of such a fantastic school. I love experiencing children embracing learning at a young age and am passionate about being a positive role model. My favourite subjects are maths and P.E. I enjoy participating in games with the children and teaching them the importance of keeping healthy and teamwork. In my spare time I enjoy tennis, running and spending time with my friends and family.
Miss F. Whitmarsh
I am Miss Whitmarsh and I teach in Year 1. I am now in my fifth year at Chalkwell and really enjoy being part of such a wonderful school. I am the Broad and Balanced Curriculum Leader so help all the teachers with subjects such as History, Art and Geography. I still enjoy teaching Computing and like finding new ways to include technology within lessons. Outside of school, I am usually found sight-seeing, drawing or having a walk down the beach.

I'm Mrs Giles and I am currently teaching year 2. I have taught at Chalkwell for four years. I love to see the children's enthusiasm towards their learning and enjoy encouraging the children to persevere to do their best! My favourite subject to teach is maths because it is great to see the children's excitement when they understand a new method or concept! Outside of school I enjoy listening to music, going to concerts and spending time with my family and friends.

I’m Miss D’Auria and this is my first year teaching at Chalkwell. Currently, I am teaching in Year 2 and I’m excited to be part of such a lovely, supportive school. I am very passionate about education; there is little more rewarding than encouraging and supporting children’s development. Outside of school I enjoy keeping fit, reading and spending quality time with family and friends.
Miss K. Stevens
I’m Miss Stevens and I am a year two teacher here in Class Mexico. I love working at Chalkwell Infants and am proud of our inclusive and supportive community. I am passionate about teaching; nothing makes me happier than seeing a child shine and grow in confidence. I particularly enjoy teaching English as I am an avid reader and love to share my love of books with others. In my spare time, I also enjoy watching films and eating at new and exciting restaurants.

Mrs J. Lang
I am Mrs Lang and I have taught at Chalkwell for 17 years. During that time I am pleased to have helped many children to achieve well. I really love seeing them grow and become ready for the next stage in their education. Currently I cover in many classes and work individually with lots of pupils to help them to progress well. I also mentor all the NQTs, students and volunteers in school. Outside of school I am a Girls' Brigade leader and like to spend time with my family on walks and visits to historical places.

Mrs H. Matthews
I started at Chalkwell as a parent helper when my own children attended the school and joined the staff in 2011. I really enjoy my role as I have the opportunity of working with children from most classes in all year groups. Outside of work I enjoy being with my family, playing tennis and walking my lovely dog Carlo.
Mrs H. Morley
I started working at Chalkwell in 2012 and really love my role. As well as working within the classroom I also teach swimming to years 1 and 2, which I thoroughly enjoy. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with family and friends, together with taking my dog Dennis on long walks.
Miss C. Hopkinson
I am an HLTA at Chalkwell Hall Infant School and this is a role I am thoroughly enjoying. My job means I get the opportunity to spend lots of time with all of the classes and get to know all of the children. Outside of work I enjoy going to the gym and spending time with my family and friends.

I am proud to be part of the great team at Chalkwell Hall Infants. I have worked here for eleven years.
As my role as Family Liaison Officer I enjoy supporting and working closely alongside children and families who may be experiencing all sorts of difficulties, due to the ups and downs of everyday life. I also work with many of the outside agencies that support our children and families.
I get great pleasure and job satisfaction when we are able to help and support our children and families through difficult times.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with the family. I like nature, wildlife and walking the dog also canoeing but only when the sun shines!

I began working at Chalkwell Hall Infant school in 2004 when my youngest of four children began in the Junior school.
I have worked in schools, nursery school settings and community centres for numerous years alongside being a registered childminder and a foster care provider.
Along with English Literature, sociology, drama and child psychology A levels I have two level 3's in child care and education and classroom assistant and have completed the level 3/4 Learning Mentor training.
Mrs M. Cracknell
My name is Mrs Cracknell. I have worked at Chalkwell Infants for nearly 14 years. I have two sons 27 and 25 years old and I live in Chalkwell. I love gardening, reading and going for long walks.

I am Mrs Knowles and have been working at Chalkwell Hall Infants as an LSA since September 2002. It has been a great privilege to be a part of educating and nurturing our young children and helping them to achieve their best. On my free time I enjoy reading, walking and spending time with family and friends.

I have been working as an LSA at Chalkwell Hall Infants since 2016. I am a qualified sports coach and I run a number of clubs before and after school. In my spare time I enjoy coaching several junior and adult netball teams. I love playing netball, going to the gym, running and spending time with my family.
