Sports Council

Welcome to Chalkwell Hall Infants School’s Sports Council

Recently, we elected new sports captains. The children will attend regular meetings to discuss their own and their peers views on P.E lessons and clubs and how we can improve them, help to raise the profile of sport in school and get children to be more active. They will also share their ideas on any sporting activities that they would like to take place and have responsibilities during sporting events.

As the children will be promoting active, healthy lifestyles within the school. They will have the responsibility of awarding any sporting certificates in assemblies and writing articles for the newsletter.

February Meeting

  • They love the fact that we have climbing equipment available as it helps them to grow strong
  • They also think the size of our playground is really good as it allows them to run around to get exercise
  • All the children said their P.E lessons were fun and they got to move around a lot
  • The children liked that they also had lessons on how to keep healthy
  • They love the diversity of sports clubs that we provide e.g. netball, tag rugby, football etc.
  • They like that we go swimming as it not only keeps them healthy it also keeps them safe near water
