Hello and welcome to Chalkwell Hall Infant school. I am Sarah Clements, the Headteacher and ordinarily I would be meeting you in person. However, in these strange times a virtual meeting will have to do!
By means of introduction, I am going to tell you a little about our wonderful school. I began working at Chalkwell in 2007, firstly as a Deputy Headteacher and I have been the Headteacher for almost 4 years now; I love it!
I am extremely lucky to be surrounded by a fantastic, committed, passionate and caring team who you will ‘meet’ later. We work closely together to ensure our school community lives up to our REACH values: Respect, Enjoy, Achieve, Care and be Healthy. We aim to offer all our children a stimulating, exciting and challenging curriculum which inspires them and motivates them to learn; our ultimate aim is to prepare today's learners for tomorrow's world. We value and foster positive personal characteristics as well as academic progress and achievement.
For us to ensure your children do the best they can whilst here with us, it’s vital that we build positive, professional relationships with them and with you. Hopefully, in the not too distant future, we will meet with you all and begin getting to know your child and their family.
Your child starting school is a big deal, we understand and appreciate that. We know that your child is your most precious possession and entrusting them to us might be very scary for some; rest assured we care first and educate second.
I am certain that your journey into school will be an exciting one; we will work together to ensure your child’s transition to ‘big’ school is smooth and happy.
Welcome to Chalkwell and I look forward to getting to know you and your child.
Mrs Sarah Clements
