Who are the PTA:

The PTA is not an exclusive club, as a parent of the school you are automatically a member, you don’t have to be specially asked! As it is a registered charity it requires three official members, who are as follows:

Chair-person:- Debbie James , Treasurer:- Angela Rowe, Secretary:- Melanie Hogg

There is a small team of general members of which some have taken on the responsibility for individual fund- raising activities such as Adventure Island ticket sales, Curry nights, the organisation of the raffles and Christmas events.

Why do we have a PTA?

The PTA has been an integral part of the schools for many years and over that time we have raised thousands of pounds to improve the school facilities for all the children. An example of our funding is the playground equipment; the majority of what you see in there has been funded by PTA funds.

The schools notify the PTA of projects they require funding for, these requests are then considered and agreed as appropriately by those parents present at the PTA meetings. Furthermore the PTA can also put their ideas forward as to what the money should be spent on.

How can you get involved?

We appreciate that time is precious, but being involved in the PTA is NOT a full time job, it doesn’t matter if you can’t attend every meeting however new faces bring new ideas! The offering of help before and during events is so valuable, but should you wish to commit a little more time you could always become a General member and take on a regular responsibility. Our meetings are informal and for those of you with Pre-school children, you are more than welcome to bring them along.

Look out for our news updates on the Fronter Parent page!
